Excess/Deductible: A deductible amount may apply in case of third-party claims, depending on the nature and extent of the damage.

2. Comprehensive Insurance (Optional Upgrade)

For enhanced protection, we offer comprehensive insurance at an additional cost, which provides a higher level of coverage for both you and the rental vehicle.

What’s Covered:

  • Third-Party Liability: Coverage for damages or injuries to third parties.
  • Damage to the Rental Vehicle: Covers repair costs if the rental vehicle is damaged due to an accident, whether caused by you or another party.

Excess/Deductible: Depending on the plan selected, a deductible will apply in case of damage to the rental vehicle, with an option to reduce the deductible for an additional fee.

3. Zero Excess Insurance (Full Coverage)

For maximum protection and peace of mind, we offer zero excess insurance, which eliminates out-of-pocket expenses in case of damage or an accident.

  • Coverage for medical expenses following an accident
  • Compensation for accidental death or permanent disability
  • Optional medical evacuation (if needed)

5. Additional Driver Insurance

If you plan to have more than one driver operating the vehicle during your rental period, it’s essential to add them to the rental agreement. For a small fee, you can ensure that any additional drivers are covered under our insurance policies.

Important Note: Additional drivers must meet the minimum age and driving license requirements and must be declared at the time of booking.

6. Insurance Exclusions

Certain circumstances are not covered by our insurance policies. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Unauthorized drivers: Any driver not listed on the rental agreement
  • Off-road driving (unless renting a vehicle specifically designed for such use, like the Suzuki Jimny)
  • Negligence or reckless driving
  • Violation of traffic laws, including speeding, illegal parking, or other offenses

Any damage caused under these conditions will be the sole responsibility of the renter, and they will be liable for all repair costs.

7. Claims Process

In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, please follow these steps:

  • Immediately inform Rentai and our insurance provider about the incident.
  • Obtain a police report: In the UAE, a police report is mandatory to file an insurance claim. Failure to do so may result in the insurance claim being void.
  • Provide all necessary documentation, including your rental agreement, police report, and your driver’s license.
  • The claim will be processed based on the insurance coverage selected, and any applicable deductibles or excess fees will be applied.

8. Roadside Assistance

All rentals come with 24/7 roadside assistance for any emergencies such as breakdowns, flat tires, or accidents. If you require assistance, contact our support team at +971 562 656 159 for immediate help.

9. Traffic Violations and Fines

Any traffic violations, such as speeding tickets or parking fines incurred during the rental period, will be the renter’s responsibility. These fines will either be deducted from your security deposit or charged to your payment method on file.
