1. What documents do I need to rent a car from Rentai Monthly Car Rental?

To rent a car with us, you will need:

  • For UAE Residents: A valid UAE driving license, Emirates ID, and a copy of your passport.
  • For Tourists: A valid international driving license, a passport, and a valid visa.

For more specific requirements based on your residency status, please contact us at +971 562 656 159 or sales@rentai.ae.

2. Can I rent a car for more than a month?

Yes, we offer flexible rental periods, including monthly, quarterly, and even longer-term rentals. Renting for more than a month often comes with discounted rates. Simply let us know your desired rental period, and we can customize a plan that suits your needs.

3. What’s included in the monthly rental fee?

Our monthly rental fees cover:

  • Comprehensive insurance (third-party liability)
  • Basic maintenance and servicing
  • 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Standard mileage limit (as specified for each car in your contract)

Additional features, like upgraded insurance coverage or higher mileage limits, can be arranged for an extra fee.

4. What happens if I exceed the mileage limit?

Each rental comes with a set mileage allowance, typically ranging from 2,000 to 32,000 kilometers per month, depending on the vehicle. If you exceed the allocated mileage, an additional fee will apply, which is calculated based on the vehicle type. Please consult your rental agreement for specific rates.

5. Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, a security deposit is required at the beginning of your rental period. The amount depends on the car model and typically ranges between AED 1,500 to AED 5,000. The deposit will be refunded after the vehicle is returned, provided no fines, damages, or outstanding charges apply. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.

6. What should I do if the rental car breaks down or I have an accident?

In case of a breakdown, simply call our 24/7 roadside assistance team at +971 562 656 159, and we will assist you immediately. For accidents, follow these steps:

  • Report the accident to the police and obtain a police report.
  • Contact Rentai immediately with the report so we can guide you through the insurance claim process.

Without a police report, insurance claims may be invalid, and the renter may be held responsible for damages.

7. Can I have more than one driver on the rental agreement?

Yes, you can add additional drivers to your rental agreement for a small fee. All additional drivers must meet the same requirements (valid license, age, etc.) as the primary driver and must be listed on the rental contract to be covered by the insurance policy.

8. What is your fuel policy?

Our fuel policy is full-to-full. This means the car will be provided with a full tank, and we expect it to be returned with a full tank. If the car is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged, along with a refueling service fee.

9. Is maintenance included in the monthly rental fee?

Yes, regular maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotation, and scheduled servicing is included in the rental price. If your vehicle requires maintenance, simply contact us, and we will arrange for the necessary work to be done. However, damage caused by negligence or improper use is not covered and may result in additional charges.

10. Can I return the vehicle before the rental period ends?

Yes, you can return the vehicle before the agreed-upon rental period ends, but keep in mind that early termination fees may apply, particularly for long-term rentals. Typically, no refunds are provided for unused days if the car is returned early, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

11. What happens if I get a traffic fine during my rental period?

Any traffic fines or parking tickets incurred during the rental period will be the renter’s responsibility. These fines will either be deducted from your security deposit or charged to your payment method on file. You will be notified of any fines or penalties as soon as we receive them.

12. Can I drive the rental car outside the UAE?

No, our rental vehicles are not permitted to be driven outside the United Arab Emirates. If you’re planning a trip outside the UAE, you’ll need to make alternative arrangements. Driving across borders without prior authorization will result in penalties and void the insurance coverage.

13. How do I extend my rental period?

If you wish to extend your rental period, simply contact our customer service team at least 24 hours before the end of your current contract. We will check the vehicle’s availability and arrange for an extension. Please note that additional rental charges may apply, and payment will be required upfront.

14. What should I do if I lose the car keys?

In the event of lost car keys, please contact us immediately. There will be a replacement fee for the lost keys, and the amount depends on the vehicle type. We will also assist in delivering a replacement key to you as soon as possible.

15. What happens if the car is damaged during the rental period?

If the car is damaged during the rental period, you must:

  1. Report the incident to the police and obtain a report.
  2. Notify Rentai and provide the police report for insurance processing.
  3. Depending on the type of insurance coverage you selected, the damage may be covered after a deductible is paid by the renter.

Damage caused by reckless driving, off-road driving (unless allowed), or other prohibited activities will be the responsibility of the renter.

16. Can I rent a car if I’m under 25?

Yes, drivers aged 21 and above are eligible to rent a car from Rentai, provided they have a valid UAE driving license or an international license. However, some high-end and sports cars may require drivers to be at least 25 years old. Please check the requirements for your chosen vehicle during booking.

17. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental period begins are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the start date may be subject to a one-day rental charge as a cancellation fee. For no-shows or failure to pick up the vehicle, the rental fee for the first month will be non-refundable. For more information, please refer to our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

18. Are there any restrictions on where I can drive?

While you can drive anywhere within the UAE, some vehicles, such as sports cars and luxury sedans, may have restrictions on off-road driving. Please make sure to review the specific guidelines for your rental vehicle to avoid penalties or voiding your insurance coverage.

19. Do I need to clean the car before returning it?

We expect the car to be returned in a reasonably clean condition. If the vehicle is excessively dirty, a cleaning fee may be applied. Normal wear and tear are expected, but stains, spills, or excessive dirt will result in additional charges.

20. How long does it take to get my security deposit back?

The security deposit will be refunded within 30 days of returning the vehicle, provided no traffic fines, damage, or additional charges are applicable. The refund will be processed back to the original payment method used during the booking.
