We understand that plans can change, so we offer a clear and straightforward cancellation and refund policy for your convenience. Please review the terms below to understand how cancellations and refunds are handled.

1. Cancellation of Booking

  • Cancellations 48 Hours Before Rental Start:
    • If you cancel your booking 48 hours or more before the scheduled start of the rental period, you will be eligible for a full refund of any payments made.
  • Cancellations Within 48 Hours of Rental Start:
    • If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the rental start date, a cancellation fee equivalent to one day’s rental charge will apply, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
  • No-Show or Failure to Collect Vehicle:
    • If you fail to collect the vehicle on the scheduled rental date without prior notice, the entire rental fee for the first month (or the rental period if shorter than a month) will be non-refundable.

2. Early Termination of Rental

  • If you wish to return the vehicle and terminate your rental before the agreed-upon rental period ends, the following rules apply:
    • Monthly Rentals: No refunds will be provided for unused days if you return the vehicle before the end of the agreed monthly rental period.
    • Short-Term Rentals (Daily/Weekly): Early returns for short-term rentals are not eligible for refunds unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

3. Refund Process

  • Refunds, when applicable, will be processed through the original payment method used at the time of booking.
  • Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to be processed and reflected in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Refunds related to security deposits may take up to 30 days after the vehicle is returned, subject to deductions for any traffic fines, damage, or additional charges incurred during the rental period.

4. Amendment to Booking

  • You can request changes to your booking (e.g., extending the rental period, changing vehicle type, or updating pick-up/drop-off times) at no extra charge, subject to availability.
  • Amendments made within 48 hours of the rental start date may incur additional charges, depending on the nature of the changes and the vehicle availability.

5. Traffic Fines, Damage, and Additional Costs

  • Any traffic fines, parking tickets, or damages incurred during the rental period will be deducted from the security deposit. If the security deposit does not cover the full amount, the renter will be responsible for settling the remaining balance.
  • Refunds related to the security deposit will be issued after all outstanding fines, damages, or other charges are cleared.

6. Non-Refundable Fees

  • Certain fees such as insurance fees, additional driver fees, and delivery charges are non-refundable after the rental period has begun.

7. Force Majeure

  • Rentai is not liable for cancellations or changes due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or other events categorized under force majeure. In such cases, Rentai will work with the renter to reschedule the booking or issue a refund at its discretion.
